2008-01-29-These days I am 67.  
I am making more design changes in this journal.
The removal of Sprintedon Hollow from most of its pages is one.

2007-04-03 -These days I am 66.  
This day I changed this journal's name to: Sprintedon Hollow.
2007-11-03 -My name is Brian Salchert.  I am 65.  This is
my second run at creating a blog in AOL space.

found it wanting; who one day told me Math is the greatest art; who 
stretched forth his hand, and saved my life.

(In many ways/  a "butterfly"  I am.  It is also  of mild interest,  
for all the depth of my involvement in poem-making, how deeply I have--
my chosen amateur status notwithstanding--become involved in  things 
mathematical,  especially those  which pertain to  number theory. ]

Who in one's right mind 
could conquer one's left? 
Would not one/ be then 
obliquely bereft?            
                         
The truth is that one with/ 
two minds must see; 
therein the wonders, 
the best/ one can be.

Lately I have drifted into writing what I call "Interactive Poetry": 
short poems which through their content seek to entice a reader into 
being a participant in their creation, even if such participation 
moves a reader to write a parody. These poems are part of a series 
I am writing under the title of/ This Day's Poem/ although I am not 
writing one every day.  The preceding poem is one.  The following 
is another.  [ Am going to let tdp = This Day's Poem. ]

Figuring It
                               
There's a dead bird 
in my planter.
                       
I do not know 
where it came from;
                            
but it looks like 
a young mockingbird.
