[6-16-2009 Update Insert: Most of what is in this space is now moot. I found out what I was doing wrong and have reinstated Archives and Labels searches. They do work. However, in certain cases you may prefer Labels to Archives. Example: 1976 Today begins in November of 2006 and concludes in December of 2006, but there are other related posts in other months. Note: Labels only shows 20 posts at a time. There are 21 hubs, making 21 (which is for 1976 Today) an older hub.] ********************************* to my online poems and song lyrics using Archives. Use hubs for finding archival locations but do not link through them. Originally an AOL Journal, where the archive system was nothing like the system here, this blog was migrated from there to here in October of 2008. Today (Memorial/Veteran's Day, May 25, 2009) I discovered a glitch when trying to use a Blogger archive. Now, it may be template-related, but I am unable to return to S M or to the dashboard once I am in the Archives. Therefore, I've decided on this approach: a month-by-month post guide. The sw you see in the codes here stood for Salchert's Weblog when I began it in November of 2006. It later became Sprintedon Hollow. AOL provided what were called entry numbers, but they weren't consistent, and they didn't begin at the first cardinal number. d = diddlings Do not particularly like this Verdana size 3, but I tried Times New Roman and Courier New and did not like them. I had a wrong impression about the former and, as I have known, the latter is like typewriter type--which I like--but is too light. The jump from 2 to 3 in Verdana is too great. I would prefer a size between those choices.

- - Should get back to entering my old online diaries but I just don't feel up to it. Keep floating around the Internet for other web logs of interest to me. Have found several. Spring has sprang, and I took some photos over the weekend of things in bloom and of bushes displaying variant colors. Today it warmed up enough for me to go to my mailbox without a jacket. - - An interesting serendipity occurred this evening which relates to a poem by Sir Thomas Wyatt. Read what Boyd Tonkin writes about himself in his "Why poetry still matters" feature and then go K. It's been FAR too long since I've visited here, TL...  I hope you are well and enjoying the warmer weather.  I find it heavenly.

I'm a comic sans fan myself.  Probably because that's what I've always used to publish student work in my classroom.  I guess I like to be consistent (usually).  In email, the size is always 10, but in journals that's MUCH too small, so I have to enlarge it to 14.  My second choice would be veranda.  I like something "pretty" but not too fancy like that frech script ~ or whatever they call it.
